At the heart of the Tallboy is Santa Cruz’s redesigned CC carbon frame, which sheds over 300 grams compared to the previous generation. With 140mm of front suspension paired to 130mm of rear travel through an all-new four-bar suspension platform, the Tallboy delivers improved small-bump sensitivity, excellent traction under power, and a remarkably supportive feel deeper into the travel. Lower anti-squat characteristics help maintain traction on rough climbs and in braking zones while preserving the bike’s quick, lively personality.
The geometry has been updated to match the Tallboy’s expanded capabilities. A slacker head angle boosts confidence at speed, while a steeper seat tube angle improves climbing efficiency and rider positioning on long technical ascents. Shorter seat tubes and uninterrupted dropper insertion allow riders across every frame size to run longer dropper posts for increased maneuverability on descents.
